Boston can be a tricky place for affordable hotels—we’re doing our best to secure reasonably priced options for our guests.

Unfortunately, hotel rates stay high year-round, but we’re working to offer two choices:

• One higher-priced hotel downtown, very close to the museum (around $250–$300/night)

• One more affordable option a bit outside the city (around $150–$250/night, ~30-minute commute)

If neither option feels like the right fit, we also recommend checking out Airbnb or similar alternatives.

A quick note on timing: October is an unusually busy month for Boston-area hotels due to Halloween tourism in nearby Salem. If October looks fully booked, don’t worry—that’s not a sign that everything is gone. We specifically chose the second weekend in November to avoid that rush. Availability should be better for our date, with fewer crowds and lower rates ahead of the Thanksgiving season.
